The rules are simple.

  1. Publicly commit to the 30 day challenge. This will motivate you to keep focussed and on track. Yes it’s scary to do this, but it will clear your head and give you direction.
  2. Choose goals that are attainable and measurable. “Play at least 90% of my shots automatically” is a good goal. “Improve my golf swing” is not.
  3. It’s also not a good idea to aim for a score. Good scores usually happen from doing other things well.
  4. This challenge is for all golfers that want to improve. It is particularly aimed at those golfers that understand and appreciate the beauty of natural learning. If you’re not sure what this is then visit this golf website.
  5. Share your ideas and progress with others.
  6. Aim big and step out of your comfort zone.
  7. Have fun

Some tips

  • Instead of thinking about your score keep count of your automatic swings. At the end of the round get a percentage of shots you played automatically. A good score is above 85%.
  • Play more than you practice.
  • Play a different golf course.
  • Forget about your technique and your swing and play golf like a kid would.
  • Do something that you’ve never done before. Play left handed, challenge the best player in your club, try a new shot, play from the back tees (or the front), leave half of your clubs at home etc.

Most of all this 30 day challenge should be fun, interesting and full of learning possibilities. Good luck and I’ll talk to you soon.
