How on earth did moe norman hit the ball so flipping straight? You said he’s purely automatic but you’re automatic too and you don’t hit the ball dead straight every time… Makes me wonder if either 1. He was automatic or 2. His swing was perfect. Which do you agree with Cameron?

Adam: I had a laugh at this one. Automatic doesn’t guarantee greatness – just maximises your potential. The key words here are “maximises” and “your”. There’s no guarantee you’ll be any good on a grand scale – but you might become a whole lot better then you thought possible.

MN’s swing was perfect for him. It was unique and he wasn’t trying to be Moe Norman (like some teaches try and do today). He played the game. Worked out where he wanted to hit the ball, chose a club and then whacked the ball. Simple. But that’s what he did.

I do remember hearing jack kuykendal saying that moe norman didnt know why he was the worlds best striker and that jack was the first to explain it to him.

My putting was very exceptional my last round i had. I would have never got to that point if it weren’t for me simply doing what you call auto golf. Makes me wonder though if i have more potential

Adam: you’re quite a funny chap – always up and down. One minute you’re ready to quit, the next you’re winning something or having a breakthrough. This is what AG brings to the table – it maximises your potential. If you study a lot of great champions at anything, you’ll find that a lot of them didn’t start out that good. But they kept at it and bit by bit they became exceptional. You never know what will happen if you keep playing, learning and having some fun.
