Some random golf practice

I had the bug to hit some balls today – haven’t felt it in years.

It was pissing rain and I was in the work gear but I didn’t care – loved it! The focus was on hitting the ball and enjoying the experience – absolutely no thought on trying to impress, working on technique or worrying about results. It was magic.

The more balls I hit the better my focus. The rain and wind (nor the gumboots) were an issue. I don’t expect everyone to practice in horrible conditions, but sometimes it’s a good thing to push your boundaries and allow you to step it up.

When Clare arrived home she thought I was crazy – she jumped out of the car and took these happy snaps.

Koda (AKA “Shiffer”) had a great time and the rain is certainly going to help things along.

G’day Cam, I’m wondering if your driving range is now a torrent of water? sort of looks like a river bed. Take some pics so you can work out your drainage. The correct amendments can be made for green and bunker construction. Hope your safe!, I hear its pretty bad up your way at the moment.

Cam: it is underwater. We are looking at drainage but with this amount of water not sure anything would work.

Plenty of the property is fine, hoping to get the green and bunker underway next month.

Never seen rain like it. Unbelievable!

If you have access to a bob cat, channel your creek on the low side pop up green/target green, high side?. No big deal really, just want to watch washouts of bunker or erosion of green, a little planning goes a long way to easing the work load. That’s If you decide to have a short game facility.

Cam280: Gunna put the short game area higher up on the property 🙂 But will look at the drainage issues – maybe I should bring you up for a day or so for some advice?

Can you send us some of your water? We haven’t had any in Melb for months.
