Special announcement and I need some help

I am very close to launching my first 80/20 Golf Seminar. This has been years in the making
and I’m sure it’s going to change the way a lot of golfers (and coaches) think and approach golf.

I have been working on this with my coach, Scott Barrow, and the entire course is about
3 key things.

1. Making golf simpler – our mission is to reduce the complexity of everything about the game.

2. Giving you straight forward ideas so you can play your best – golf improvement has gotten
out of hand and it’s time to level the playing field. With 80/20 you can play better golf without
all the garbage.

3. Making ProEnhance golf fun again – it’s our contention that the vast majority of golfers don’t enjoy the
game fully. We’re trying to change that. Enjoyment, success and learning are all closely
linked – it’s hard to have one without the other.

But we need your help. We’re in the final throws of nailing down the course and we’d love to
know if there’s anything that really bugs you about golf…

What part of the game would you like simplified?
What aspect of golf do you struggle with?
If you could change one thing what would it be?

If you’d like to contribute you can leave your thoughts in the box below.

Thanks for your help,

Cameron Strachan

Teach people how to get the most out of the swing they have rather than try to change their swing to some model swing (and then tell them the changes will be natural after after about 10000 perfect swings).

Lessons should always include on-course time since most people can’t take their lesson swing (driving range swing) to the golf course.

How to find that place where you are swinging freely (Not with reckless abandon) so that you have improved control of the outcome.

Also, achieving consistant solid ball contact and an understanding of the correct “Release”.

I have played golf for many years but still struggle with how to take the club back.
Every time I play, I find myself taking a different path.

First off, golf isnt complicated. You hit a bal into a hole in the fewest hits. Thats all you should be focused on. Second, cameron doesnt need a coach. Hes a fine player as it is. Coaching is where is money gets shoved into peoples pockets. Third, no one really needs coaching at all. They need to play golf. Naturally the more you play the better youll be. Coaching is not something people need. They might need to be told to let go of all the nonsense that most coaches give them and enjoy the game regardless of how they play, but otherwise nothing needs to be said.

Slow golf. Why do people accuse you of not taking the game seriously if you play quickly? I play 18 holes in 2 hours when i’m on my own and find it painful taking over 4 hours to do the same thing on comp days. High handicappers with a routine that rivals pga professionals. Guys watching others hit off without being prepared themselves. Players watching people putting then checking out the break on their own putts afterwards. Leaving buggies on the far side of the green then meandering back to get them. Seriously, the waiting around to play destroys a lot of the flow and enjoyment the game has to offer. How have we let an expectation that a four plus hour round of golf is ok develop? Ir’s dumb. Walk briskly, be ready to play, don’t overly complicate your shot routine and let everyone enjoy the game. I’m not suggesting that we sprint between shots but reckon 31/2 hours is the absolute max a 4 ball stableford round should take. I guess coaches can’t be expected to fix this issue but how do we get golfers to understand that it’s a GAME. Not life and death. Don’t agonise over minor details, it doesn’t help your score and certainly doesn’t help everyones enjoyment.
