You need to be able to remain calm on the golf course during play. The pressure of the score card, the trees and hazards and fellow competitors can cause a golfer's mind to spin out of control.

How do you become more consistent at golf?

Great question. I don’t think it is that hard to become more consistent at golf. Especially if you have an open mind and can deal with reality. If you think it’s possible to play your very best golf each round then I don’t think I can help you. I like to deal with reality…not impossibilities. But if you’d like to improve in a natural and easy way then keep reading.

A consistent golfer understands the learning process. They have a natural and instinctive game and play in a way that maximises their chances of performing well. All consistent golfers perform their golf swing automatically…this ensures the swing is performed by the subconscious.

Why does this work?

Because the subconscious part of your brain is ideally suited to performing tasks like your golf swing. When you have a good golf swing programmed in, your subconscious will take over and only allow that golf swing to surface. So, the trick to having a consistent golf game is to develop a good golf swing (a lot easier than you’d think) and then let the motion be performed automatically. This way only the good golf swing will ever be on display.

The horrible and inconsistent game that you are used to is never given the chance to appear…it is locked away for good!

Consistent golf is all about understanding the learning process. Traditional instruction makes consistent golf difficult. It pays scant regard to the learning process and assumes the golfer will somehow progress to the automatic level without any instruction on how to do so.
