That quote seems so simplistic doesn’t it but at the end of the day that is all that is required.

Good stuff Cam, I recall Paddy Harrington having a similar mindset when he was the hottest player in the world winning majors, I think there is a consistent application of that ‘accepting mindset’ by golfers when they’re performing at their best, they simply get out of their own way.

Andrew H: G’day mate. Yep, I reckon this mindset works really well, despite its simplicity.

Hi Cam, you said today about playing the shot that’s right for the moment and skill level. Well how does that fit in to the learning process for someone who does not get to practice the long game if that person were to their standard shot all the time e.g a draw shot and not try anything else?

MM: Check out the today’s podcast for some more insight (will be online around 11am). Should shed some more light on the subject.

The hardest shot in golf to accept is the one you hit really well and get a bad result out of it. Like hitting a sprinkler head or getting a really awful bounce on the edge of the green.
The easy road is moan about poor me and this always happens to me? Accept move on next shot, execute, accept move on and repeat.

It’s pretty simple but we all tend to get lost in all the “other” stuff that is out there.
