Cam my last two rounds have been absolute shockers so I can relate to this post in a big way. One round was on the day I had to put down my little dog of 10 years which was really heart wrenching so I had no problems with that the second round however was a different kettle of fish in as much as I have been battling some back issues so decided to try and implement bio swing but unfortunately what worked in the hitting net prior to the game did not go out with me and I continually over thought the situation . So here is a question for you Cam and that is should I rebel against my natural swing or should I try something new?

Lukey: It’s almost like you haven’t read or taken in anything after all these years. If you go to the course and “try” and implement a swing technique you have little chance of success. I don’t know what your goals are, but it appears you want to play better (i.e. shoot better scores). And attempting Bioswing or any swing technique isn’t ideal. You need to find your true swing and then stick with it. You need to think about why you play and stop thinking with a short sighted view.

Yes, you can try some fun stuff – like hitting new shots or trying a new club, but the swing MUST always be automatic. I personally feel that attempting to implement a swing technique, like “swing back with the arms and club on plane” is just not going to work.

I feel you need to simplify things and stick with that. Play more and think less. Your swing and scores will loo after themselves.

One other point: you are free to explore and try new things – even change your swing. But you have to realise its hard to get both change and success at the same time.

Cam thanks again for being truthful and laying it on the line and you will be glad to know I went out this morning to have a hit and that is exactly what I did with a little bit of fun (tried different shots)thrown in and the result of course was much better.
